21th Febuary 2014Hadis parsa (0318171)Introduction to PhotographyExercise 2 (Aperture)Lecture: Aperture
For the third week of photography class ,Mr Vinod re-explained again about our eportfolio for to sort out our confusion. After that, He taught about Aperture. I got it clearly after I have done it by my own camera now I would like to share a bit of my knowledge that I gained from researches and this section.
When we talk about aperture we are actually talking bout the whole behind our lens which gives us the ability to
1-control the light entering our lens
2-control the depth of field
As the aperture numbers gets smaller the aperture opening larger and the image gets lighter
A small aperture increases depth of field so foreground and background are sharp and a large aperture decreases depth of field so the background is soft.
These are pictures I have taken with different apertures
exercise 2a
aperture:4.5
shutter speed :1.320
ISO:200
aperture:5.6
shutter speed:1.320
ISO:200
aperture :8

aperture:16
shutter speed:1.320

There are pictures I have taken with different apertures and different shutter speed
exercise 2b

Reflection : from this lecture i understand how aperture works I;ve been looking at these kind of pictures for long time but i didnt know how it works how do they do that I mean how can they make the background look soft so the main point will be the attention point of the viewer now I know about it i have found it so fun and necessary to know
Thank you
