week 17
In these days of week 17 Im almost done with translating the interview and It was really difficult to do that as it is too long conversation and I faced some trouble with translating our proverb and phrases that we use in our day to day life which really don't have any translation in English it is just like I can only replace it with words in English but not the same word that we use but any way as long as it sends the same meaning its okay .Week 16
To be honest, I don't know what is the problem that they decided not to be in the same group with each other any more but what ever is this Wei suggested to Mr Charles that she is agree for Cong and Chloe to join our group as it is only three weeks till the end of semester 2.And she called me as well to see weather I am okay with that or not and I said I have no problem with that.and they had discussion with Wei and it seems that she told them to look for an artist or a designer and keep her update of their work progress. They did update us from time to time and asked Wei if the artist or designer they chosen are okay to interview or not.
Week 15
However, I went to interview him alone because Jia Lun and Wei had something personal things to do so they might no be able do the interview with me. And I decided to take my sister with me to set up the camera and be there to help me if I needed any one to do so and it all went well ..always second time would be better as it is another chance to cover the mistakes that you made last time so either me and Mr Yaghoubi knew what to do and it was a great pleasure that I could meet him again and he invited us for a exhibition that he is going to hold off next week which I am really interested to see either new art work or new artist that I have never met but Its just I am not sure if we have Figure drawing final submission in that very day .

Lun and wei went to Profound Axis on the 16th and they interview Mr. Ng,

week 9
One of my group mates had researche about A Designer that I do not know much about him and this post belongs to my friend.Research on Designer
I found one fashion designer in Malaysia and did some research about him. He is Rico Rinaldi.
The
local fashion scene has a new star. It's Rico Rinaldi. And he's fast
making a name for himself. One of the spotlight of known young fashion
designer, Rico Rinaldi creates a sense of individuality from various
elements. The 27-year-old designer loves the art of draping for his high
end touch and for the ready-to-wear and bridal's collection is a state
of his creativity. Having caught the designing bug from the tender age
of 10, as he watched with admiration and pride how his mum, who had a
knack in tailoring, turned bales of cloth into fashionable pieces of
apparel, years later, he joined the Limkokwing University of Creative
Technology, Cyberjaya. He succeeded in becoming a graduate student who
was awarded the Best Lifestyle Designer 2008 by the university for
fashion and retail design.
He was the 1st student out of his classmates that have won a fashion competition even he was just in semester 2, a glorious winning at Malaysian Batik Fashion Accessories Design Competition in 2006.
The win prompted him to join another competition - The Paco Rabanne "Black XS is The New Black Fashion Couture Design" - which garnered him the top prize for the women's wear category.
The Triumph Inspiration Award held at Pavilion - where participants were required to design lingerie -added another feather in Rico's cap. He managed to get the National, 2nd runner up title.
In 2009, he participated in the Mercedes Benz Stylo Young Designer Award by MODA (Malaysian Official Designers Association). With his Queen of India collection, Rico was chosen as one of the the top 12 finalists.
Along the way, he's worked in Limkokwing University with his care to shine and build the other young talents of his students to gain the industry experience as he worked as tutor in Fashion Event Coordinator. While that in 2010 he was voted top3 for The Young Designer to Watch in 2010 by Tongue in Chic Annual Style Awards.
Bring in his name as well as his label up to shine in the fashion industry he won Piala Seri Endon 2009 with the theme called Republic Flora. A long research on the floral motive while drawing inspiration from anti-war efforts in the United States of America where the term ‘Flower Power’ was widely used especially against the war in Vietnam during the 1960’s. Rico said that the strength and conviction of the efforts although masked behind the gentlest form of creation, a flower, conveys the true essence of Batik which is a dominant craft executed with extreme gentleness and detail. With three garments on display - women’s casual, women’s evening wear and men’s formal Rico made to the finals against a total of 122 entries.
in 2011, he was nominated for The Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Fabulous Awards in The Young Designer Award along with other top young Malaysian designers.
His dream came true when in 2011, awarded for the Anugerah Pereka Muda Terbaik (Best Young Designer Award) Anugerah Pesona Tenun Berita Harian and flaunt the winning collection to London and the chance to further his study at London Fashion School of Art in Customized Pattern Making and Fitting.

BATIK
what is batik?
is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth, or cloth made using this technique. Batik is made either by drawing dots and lines of the resist with a spouted tool called a canting, also spelled tjanting), or by printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap . The applied wax resists dyes and therefore allows the artisan to color selectively by soaking the cloth in one color, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colors are desired. A tradition of making batik is found in various countries, including Nigeria, China, India, Malaysia, Philippines and Sri Lanka; the batik of Indonesia, however, is the most well-known. Indonesian batik made in the island of Java has a long history of acculturation, with diverse patterns influenced by a variety of cultures, and is the most developed in terms of pattern, technique, and the quality of workmanship.[1] On October 2009, UNESCO designated Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. On 5 of December we went to Batik trip for one of our assignments and we were suppose to make our own pattern that we ketch in class among group .
